Confluence is a visual exploration of nature’s capacity to confound and humble. Documented amongst the unpredictable landscapes of New Zealand’s south island, each images captures the turbulent energy that runs throughout the natural world. Curiosity acts as a guide throughout, along with a hunger for the sublime. In the depictions of inky clouds and soaring peaks lies a complex question: What role can the wilderness play in humanity’s constant and chaotic quest for self-discovery?
